Positive Figures of America (P.O.A) was created to bridge that gap — providing relationship-centered, non-clinical support services that meet youth where they are.
We serve a diverse population of youth, including those involved in systems such as:
Our approach focuses on stabilization, skill-building, and empowerment, helping youth strengthen emotional regulation, improve behavior, and build the confidence needed to succeed at home, in school, and in their communities.
Behavioral challenges are often rooted in unmet needs, stress responses, or skill deficits — not intentional defiance. POA’s behavioral coaching uses a strengths-based, structured model to help youth build skills, set goals, and replace unhelpful behaviors with productive alternatives.
Our coaching may include:
We empower youth to make sustainable behavior changes that align with their goals and support long-term success.
Helping Youth Manage Emotions and Reduce Crisis Behavior
Many youth struggle with overwhelming emotions, triggers, and behavioral escalation. Positive Figures of America provides structured emotional regulation support and in-the-moment de-escalation guidance designed to help youth understand their emotional responses and respond in healthier ways.
Our support includes:
POA’s approach increases emotional awareness, reduces escalation cycles, and promotes safer, more positive responses across home, school, and community settings
Practical Skills for Independence and Confidence
Life skills are essential to helping youth build confidence, independence, and capability. POA supports youth in learning and applying real-world skills that strengthen decision-making, self-reliance, and future readiness.
Life skills support may include:
Through intentional skill development and guided practice, POA helps youth prepare for success in school, work, community life, and adulthood.
Community Integration is essential for youth development, especially for those involved in foster care or extended foster care systems. POA supports youth in building positive connections, life skills, and healthy community engagement.
Services may include:
• Social skill development
• Pro-social peer engagement
• Independent living skill support
• Community-based mentoring
• Career and goal exploration
• Positive identity development
POA ensures youth are not only stable in placement but also connected, confident, and prepared to thrive beyond care.
We don’t just provide services.
We build belonging.
Placement stability is essential for a youth’s emotional safety, development, and long-term success. Youth who experience multiple placement changes are at greater risk of behavioral challenges, academic struggles, and system involvement — which is why early, targeted support can be life-changing.
At Positive Figures of America, we help youth and caregivers navigate emotional and behavioral challenges in ways that strengthen the current placement and reduce the need for additional moves or disruptions
At Positive Figures of America, we believe that belonging, consistency, and meaningful connection are essential to youth development and long-term success.
We provide structured, non-clinical support that helps youth:
What Sets Us Apart:
Our goal is to complement existing services—not duplicate them— by providing the consistent support youth need to stabilize, grow, and thrive
Positive Figures of America (P.O.A) provides placement stabilization, mentorship, and community-based support services designed to strengthen emotional functioning, reduce behavioral challenges, and promote long-term stability for youth.
We serve youth across a variety of systems, including child welfare (DCS), developmental disabilities (DDD), behavioral health networks (AHCCCS), schools, and community-based programs — as well as families seeking additional structured support.
Our approach focuses on the real-life application of coping strategies, emotional regulation, and positive decision-making, helping youth build the skills needed to succeed in everyday environments.
By working collaboratively with families, providers, and care teams, P.O.A enhances existing services, reduces behavioral escalation, and supports measurable progress across home, school, and community settings.

Youth engage with consistent providers who build trust and accountability.

We help youth practice coping strategies in real -world environments- not just talk about them.

Regular communication with and updates help agencies track progress and outcomes.
